Trying Something Different
Thought I'd take a break from planes and cars and try to learn how to use acrylic paints. I decided to focus on pilots.

Yeah, from what I see of the work by those who do these figures and know what's what, oils for the face. Maybe even for the rest.

Very nice, Jack (@camaro1). Your results are outstanding. I have never had much luck with acrylics on figures, because they are usually dry by the time I am ready to blend. Oils solve the problems with my slow motion approach to painting.
Great result, Jack, how about trying some figures to with your 1/48 aircraft? I've seen some advertised by a company called TF, ref MF-11 and MF-04 which look interesting. Definitely liked.
