Academy 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk. IIc

May 17, 2021 · in Aviation · · 12 · 2K

I built this kit last year after I finished building the MPC's Mk. I. Once I started working on this kit, I was not able to stop. It's a nice and simple kit of the Hurricane Mk. IIc. All of the parts goes together rather well with very little filler needed. I was able to get done on this rather quickly, this was an all "Out of the Box" build. The only section that I feel was off a bit was the upper engine cowling and canopy, they were too narrow. But other than that, not a bad looking kit. The last two shots are side by side comparism of both the old MPC/Airfix Hurricane Mk. 1 and the Hurricane Mk. IIc.

  1. Awesome Hurricane, Bob.
As a matter of fact, both are fantastic.
One of my favorite aircraft, especially the IIc, likely because of its armament.

  2. Nice addition to your other Hurricane - two good-looking builds! Well done.
