This is a great kit. It's limited run and has some fit challenges with most of the parts/sub assemblies but that is to be expected. Test fitting is a must at every step. Surface details are fine and crisp but I did deepen all scribed panel lines to make sure they'd accept a wash after painting.

The one thing that is a complete fail in this kit is the decals. They are not printed well with the edges being very rough. Even worse, the edges of mine tended to fold under and when I tried to fix it, the decals tore easily. Each decal I tried to apply did this so after trying 3 or 4, I gave up and trashed them. Luckily the markings are sparse on this aircraft so I was able to steal the meatballs I needed from another kit. I did a quick on-line search and found no aftermarket deal sets for this aircraft. So, hopefully I just had a bad sheet otherwise, I don't even know why would include these decals at all. Also, there is no instrument panel decals included which, in this case, may be a good thing. I used Mike Grant decals individual instrument dial decals.

Enjoy and comments welcome.

  1. Nice work! I like that kit.

  2. I like it too ! It looks great in Orange. Too bad the decals gave you such a fit. The replacements look fantastic.

  3. I guess rather than "yellow peril" this is "orange terror." Nice work Richard.

  4. Wonderful build, Richard @rbungay
    Didn't know about this aircraft.
The scheme is fantastic, like the engine as well.

  5. NOICE! A rare sight, well done!

  6. Look nice! What kind of yellow-orange paint did you use?

  7. First build of this I have seen and I'm impressed. They are the lowest profile tyres I have ever seen on an aircraft since WW1 style tyres.

  8. Wonderful build, Richard @rbungay!
