  1. Hi, Curt. I only did 1/72 armor back in the day when I could see better. I have most of the Pegasus 1/48 aircraft kits, which are good for a relaxing build as long as you don't try to go crazy on correcting their simplifications and omissions. How does this kit compare to the bigger names in 1/72 armor molding? I notice that the box art's mantel cover isn't in the plastic - were there other less obvious things left out? How much of the front cat/dragon is decal and how much your careful painting? You've made a really nice base for this build. Congratulations on doing such a neat and effective job with what I suspect was a minimalist kit!

    • Thank you Christopher - I can't say how this kit compares to other 1/72 scale armor kits...it is the only 1/72 armor kit I've built to date, but I can say I was surprised by the good level of detail in this one. The main construction issue was the upper hull did not fit over the lower hull - the track width was too wide. This was corrected by thinning the side fender skirts from the inside until the upper hull fit over the tracks. The red/white of the tiger face is decal, I had to paint the black under surface along with the black dot for the the eyeball.

  2. What a great result. 1/72? Wow.

  3. Great work. I was really interested in your build of this kit. Small tanks are not easy to make look good.

  4. Terrific model, great finish and the base really sets it off, definitely liked.

  5. Amazing result for such a small scale, Curt!

  6. Thought it was at least 1/48! Great job.

  7. That is very impressive, the model, the base and the finish. Well done sir.
