Vintage Monogram 1/72 F-105B (1958)

July 10, 2021 · in Aviation · · 11 · 1.7K

First issued in the late 1950s Monograms F-105B included moving parts and a pilot that could be ejected. This is a later version without those features and showed an F-105B in Vietnam. The first time I built this kit was in 1973 and brush painted it. I was not happy with it. Recently I decided to build it again but with all the rivets sanded off. I used Tamiya spray can aluminum to replicate the aluminum coating applied to the F-105s in the early 1960s. The decals are from MicroScale (very old sheet). So here is 's F-105B built out of the box.
