  1. I love it, Marcus!
Nothing better than taking a missing pars kit and present such excellent result!
"No kit deserves to remain unbuilt?"

  2. Nice looking Kubelwagen.

  3. Nothing wrong with this build, Marcus.
    You did very well.

  4. These vehicles are field serviceable, parts or no parts Marcus ! Great job keeping this baby on its wheels. Re: the toolbox on the back floorboards !
Well done we improvise when needed.

    • I was really lucky to drive one, back in 1991, my friend @bernardbedeur. It was assigned to me, when I was stationed in Crete Island, with Mirage F-1 planes . This thing drives amazingly! I had no idea it came with two types of transmission: the "normal" one was geared in such a way that the rear suspension would expand upon throttling up, thus helping the car not getting stuck in the mud or sand! Then, the "road" one had the usual gearing, ie you throttle up with gear engaged and the rear suspension is compressed.

Can you imagine me driving one? Windscreen and everything down? Of course, no belts whatsoever: those were the days...

      • I was lucky too to have examined German machinery of WW2 Spiros. Notably a BMW and Zundapp side car motorcycles. Very sophisticated machines for their time.
VW made a Kubelwzgen during the seventies. They were 2 wheel drive and Amazing.
Renault made one too, the Mehari. Great and now highly collectible machines.
Glad we are of this generation !

  5. Thank you all guys, indeed it needed correction on the convoy lights - in this position they were green, not red...oh dear...:
