Sherman T-31 Demolition Tank

August 12, 2021 · in Armor · · 12 · 2.4K

Developed in America in 1944 with a view to landing it on the D-day beaches this derivative of the tank was designed as a blockbuster to deal with beachhead fortifications. The redesigned turret featured a 105 mm howitzer and two 7.2-inch rockets.

Only 2 prototypes were built. Due to production delays and weight problems, it never went into full production.

The model is based on a Tamiya 1/35th M4A3 chassis and the turret was designed in Fusion 360 and 3d printed by me.
