  1. And unlike the guy who got listed #1 - despite the fact that after the war, when the German records were accessed, no attacks and no losses were recorded at any base on the entire Western Front from Switzerland to the Channel, on the day he claimed such "success" that he was arded the Victoria Cross for his "efforts" - all of Collishaw's claims are valid, making him the real #1, just ahead of Barker and miles ahead of the lying "non-gentleman" Billy Bishop.

Beautiful work on my favorite triplane, flown by my favorite Empire ace.

  2. Fabulous job on your "Tripehound"!

  3. An amazing build!

  4. Great work, David @mentaldental
The wood effect on the rafters (not sure if that is the correct word) and the propellor is superb.

  5. Wow. I am totally blown away. A fantastic model in every respect. This is the best modelling I have seen in some time. A very cool subject as well. Bravo!

  6. Excellent in all respects, David!

  7. What did you do to get the changes in tone of the dark brown area? What did you use? Oil paint?

Inquiring (desperate) minds want to know? Thanks.

  8. Well, my gob is now smacked and my flabber completely gasted. That is amazing scale modeling, at a level few can accomplish, no less maintain. That is great work @mentaldental!

  9. David, this is gorgeous! It's a real pleasure to see.

  10. This is an amazing build. All the sticking under the ribs and on the leather for the cockpit area can clearly be seen. Looking at this I can hear the air blowing by all the cables….
