Vintage RevellFord Pick-Up 1/48

Resume from kit instruction sheet:
One of the most utilitarian commercial vehicles in use in the 1950s in the USA, the represented a combination of passenger car styling and functional industrial design. Used by countless operators, this truck appears on farms, factories and, in short, anywhere there were a need for quick movement of small loads.
The F-100 model was powered by a short-stroke V-8 engine and had many of the same safety features found in Ford passenger cars. These included the deeply centered lifeguard steering wheel and the lifeguard door latches. Large wrap around windshields and rear windows add to the general beauty and safety of the truck.
Designed for both beauty and work, these trucks stand out in the field of motorized transport.

The 1/48 scale kit was first released in 1955 by in the US, and re-released (rebox) in 1995 there. This kit is the 1995 edition ordered from Squadron Mail Order store. The building was almost OOB, with some fixes and improvements. Painting following my recent pattern: Tamiya putty, primer, all paints and clears on Polyester products, and Chomenox for chrome plated parts. All clear parts were made of Styrene sheet including the Harley Davidson windshield.

The vignette scene appears to be a police officer issuing a speeding ticket problaby due to the truck's powerful V8 engine (LOL)!

Finally, another shiny and very model on my shelf, which brings me memories of Revell's catalogs with models never seen in Brazilian stores. And lots of fun!

Cheers!
