  1. Nice ! Love the color scheme!, I think the T-bolt makes one of the better canvases for nose art.

  2. Wonderful job on that P-47, Gary!
    Congratulations!

  3. Great looking P-47 - the overpainted tail stripes are a nice touch.

  4. Nice result on this. What's not to like with the Tamiya P-47? People may complain about the accuracy of some of the previous kits, but nobody ever says anything about this one other than "I like it!"

  5. I can see that the Decals are appropriately named...that's a beauty Razorback.

  6. Beautiful work Gary! That's a sensational 'Bolt! ?

  7. Great build, Gary @gwskat
    A real eye catcher.

  8. Good looking Jug Gary, that Tamiya kit is really tough to beat on detail or fit. Plus some really interesting nose art is associated with this A/C. much to the delight of many modelers.

  9. Great looking build, I love the P-47 and I think the Razorback looks the meanist. Nice work, I really like the MrColor OD, it just seems to be the right color, nice work on the covered tail stripes.

  10. Gary, @gwskat
This looks fantastic ! I like everything about it, especially the way you painted over the stripes. The P-47 was probably the very best canvas for nose art. The decals look painted on. You did a magnificent job, but this is your norm. 🙂
I definitely pressed the "like" button for this build. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  11. Great looking P-47, nice job on the whole build!

  12. Nice to see you went for it and built the this Razorback, the perfect companion to your “Sleepy Jean” bubbletop. Both great kits. Both great looking builds Gary. Bet you had a lot of fun with these wonderful kits.

    • Thanks, Eric. Actually I started both kits at the same time...for some reason the Bubbletop build crossed the finish line first. These are definitely nice kits, highly recommended. I have more, including the M version on the stash.

  13. Lovely work, Gary.

  14. This looks amazing! I’m so happy to see a completed model. Your attention to detail is incredible. I’ve had the decals and a model in a box for years (this is my grandfather’s plane) and was never brave enough to start. I don’t think I could do it justice. Thank you for sharing!
