Cuban Comet A34 1/35

February 14, 2022 · in Armor · · 4 · 1.4K

Greetings to all forum members.

In the last few weeks I was able to finish several kits I had under construction. This one I want to show you now is one of them.

It is the tank, scale.

The kit has a correct detailing, and the fitting of the parts is very good. The tracks are of the split link type, and the articulation between links is good, giving a very realistic falling effect on the top of the tracks. I only had to add some scratch on the tower smoke tube wiring.

I went for the version, as I had some leftovers from the Bisón decals.

These tanks arrived in Cuba at the end of 1958, in the last months of Fulgencio Batista's dictatorship, and were purchased directly from Great Britain. Some of these tanks were fitted with a 12.7 mm machine gun on the roof of the turret. After the Cuban Revolution, these tanks were used for some more time, until the arrival of the Soviet material. Later they were decommissioned and destined for scrap.

The kit is painted with Vallejo acrylics, and the wethering is made with Casttle Art and MIG pingmentos, and AK washes.

I hope the result is to your liking.

Greetings to all.
