Haunebu II Flying saucer (Revell, 1:72)

February 11, 2022 · in Sci-fi · · 5 · 2.8K

Another job leaves the desk. The Hanunebu II saucer promises easy and fast pleasure layout, with many opportunities for sci-fi and what if lovers. I especially loved its massiveness in it (in a rather unusual way from a model). The plastic is strong, thick in invisible places, the finished machine has a hold. I accidentally dropped a full bottle of Tamiya X-20A on it, nothing went wrong. Not to my nerves either. I checked out the competition, the Squadron Haunebuja is a better kit at every level, more than double the price of the Revell kit (and the German company's product is also grossly overpriced), but the finished saucer itself is bigger, more detailed.

Painted in the traditional nigh fighter worm-pattern with Tamiya and Mr. Hobby acrylics.

The swastika serves only the "authentic" appearance of the project, it does not reflect my political views.

    The camouflage scheme is awesome.
How did you achieve those very thin lines, are they really airbrushed?
