E-50 Flakpanzer (1/72)
The E-50 belongs to the "what-if" genre and only existed in sketches in real life.
Various versions were also planned for the E-50 chassis.
This one represents an anti-aircraft tank.
One of the biggest mistakes of the Trumpeter box art is that they always show 1/35 models on it.
Therefore, the content does not quite match what is shown.
The Trumpeter kit (07124) does not contain many parts and is assembled quickly and without problems.
The fitting of the parts is quite okay and all details are sharp molded.
I drilled up some holes any added a few smaller details which are missing.
I didn't want to represent a completely "normal" vehicle, so I'm adding improvised additional armor on the front, sides and above the fans.
You can only build the model with the side skirts, but I wanted to leave them out.
So I had to make some small adjustments to the front panel and recreate the brackets myself.
I also reworked the weld seams and the cut surfaces of the armor plates.
I built the base myself.
The fence and wall come from the scrap box and the cobblestone is also a leftover from Miniart.
I made the rubble out of hard foam, lumps of plaster, coarse sand and small pieces of wood.
The figures come from a set by Zvezda (6270) and are of very good quality.
I think these are among the best in plastic injection molding.
