  1. Beautifully done, Allan, you’ve captured the look of this perfectly. The F1 cars of that era were so small and the drivers so vulnerable, and Jim Clark was generally regarded as the best.

  2. Beautiful Lotus, Allan @kalamazoo
The racing green looks perfect on your build.
    Well done.

  3. Wow Allan your work always impresses me ,super clean, super neat, this is beautiful and would look great as a desk piece anywhere .
If I ever got over to Oz I'd love to see your collection it must be huge and all as good as this.
    Well done mate.

  4. An excellent build of a beloved car, my friend Allan!
    Cannot get better!

  5. Really nice, Allan @kalamazoo. I have liked this style of racing car since I saw the movie "Gran Prix" with James Garner back in the 1960s, especially in British racing green. Finish on the paint looks awesome.

  6. Very sharp Allan! Paint looks like you went to an auto repair body shop.
Well worth the wait to see this one finished.

  7. I got to see Jim Clark race at the Indianapolis 500. I remember all the excitement and hubbub about him racing a green car. Green was supposedly an unlucky color at Indy. He proved all the skeptics wrong in a car almost identical to this one!
    Well done, Allan @kalamazoo

    • Thank you Jeff, What year would that have been ?

      • Well, it was green and had four wheels, but I think the similarities end there, you might find the attached from Car magazine interesting.

  8. @kalamazoo, I really like your GP car Allan! Strewth, she looks fantastic mate! ? I saw two Tasman Cup races at Melbourne's Sandown Park in 1966 and 1967, and the cars were still quite similar to this one. In one race, we saw four GP World Champions competing against each other; Graham Hill, Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart and Australia's own Jack Brabham. I was one very excited 14 year-old, with pit pass in hand! ?

Great looking Lotus Allan, and many thanks for sharing her with us here! ?

  9. Wow, wow and wow Allan, What a great subject and stunning build quality... most impressive. Those were the days when racing drivers were men and Pansies were flowers!
