June 13, 2022 · in Uncategorized · 12 · 1.3K

I just learned Jerry Crandall died this morning from complications of COVID-19.

This hobby will always be different and better for what he did in it. He touched every one of us.

    Rest in Piece, Jerry.

  3. Sorry to hear this. His body of work on the Fw 190D and other Luftwaffe subjects is irreplaceable…not to mention his EagleCals decals of subjects that have been overlooked/ignored. RIP.

  4. May he rest in peace. His decal sets showed off the quality of his work.

  5. A very sad and irreplaceable loss. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends.
Jerry’s work, particularly in German aircraft, made me look at wartime photos in a different way of interpretation. God bless his soul

  6. One of the high points of my life was meeting Jerry Crandall in Hamilton Montana a few years back. Judy was by his side, while we chatted at the Hamilton airport. The modelling community (as well as history and art buffs) owe the Crandalls so much, for the superb contributions they have made.

    Jerry, you are greatly missed.

  7. Very sad news, indeed. My condolences to his family.
I have built several models with Jerry's decals and resin parts.
RIP Jerry in clear blue sky of Montana

  8. Very sad. He did so much for detailed history & the hobby - RIP

  9. My condolences to his family.

  10. Had a wonderful conversation with Jerry at the Vegas nationals. After looking over some of his art work and selecting some decals, he told me about working on the movie "Tombstone". Jerry's acting part consists of him being shot off his horse in the movie. To find his scene, he's the last cowboy bumped off in the movie !
We will truly miss this wonderful man !
