Very interesting tour of Airfix. It reminds you that even in our technological age, it still takes a lot of talented people to bring our kits to us. Well done.

Airfix has improved a lot on their molds last couple of years to my opinion.

Flory Models occasionally has staff (usually the designers) from Airfix for live shows.
One can go through their archives and find them. The designers (Paramjit Sembhi among them) give some good insight into how they approach designing their kits. It's a lot of compromise between material, cost and engineering limitations.
