Revell 1/35 Panzerhaubitze PzH 2000

August 8, 2022 · in Armor · · 6 · 1.1K

My latest completed work. The Panzerhaubitze 155mm SPH.

This a completely OOB build with no aftermarket parts. The only mods are the 2 x antenna made from 0,3mm spring steel wire, carry basket on the front of the turret has the plastic mesh cut out and I replaced it with some spare etched brass mesh. I also cut the two turret windows out. Need to make the glass using white glue.

the kit supplies 2 pieces to make the canvas over the cannon recoil section or as their instructions say use foil crinkle to shape. I did neither and used some tissue paper wet with watered down white glue. Worked well for me.

Paints used are all Vallejo Model Colour - Military Green, Black and Flat Brown.

went together fairly easily with no real problems.

One problem with the decal callout on the instructions. Do not put the chevrons on the front track covers as the metal covers that go over these have been molded in the up position and lie on the upper hull above the tracks.

Still need to dirty it up a bit.

Paintwork is indeed superb., both, the airbrush and handpainted part.
