1/72 Eduard Spitfire Mk.IXe.
My second build from "The Longest Day" box set.
Having built the first one this was a little easier as I'd got the snags out of the way.
Well, apart from the self-inflicted ones. :blush:
Primed with Tamiya Neutral Grey,
Painted with ColourCoats Interior Grey Green, Dark Green, Ocean Grey, Medium Sea Grey, RAF/FAA Yellow, Tamiya Flat White, Nato Black, Rubber Black, Buff, Clear Red, Clear Green, Clear Orange, Flat Aluminium.
Washed with Citadel Nuln Oil, Seraphim Sepia and Flory Dark Dirt.
Oils used from Windsor & Newton and Abteilung 502.
Finished with Windor & Newton Galeria Matt and Satin Varnishes.

What are those 'barrels' underneath the wings, never saw these kind of items.

The barrels are beer barrels.
This was built as one of the "Beer Run" Spits taking some sustenance to the troops after D-Day.

Great job on this Alistair ,she could easily pass for 1/48 , those stripes turned out nicely , I've done them a few times and they are tricky , the beer barrels are so British !
