AIP 1/144 Thunderbird 1

September 17, 2022 · in Sci-fi · · 20 · 1K

Another nostalgic blast for me.
A great kit with absolutely no issues at all.

Primed with Tamiya Lacquer Gloss Black.
Painted with Xtreme Metals Aluminium, ColourCoats Light Mediterranean Blue, Insignia Red.
Citadel Nuln Oil for the enginey bits.
Finished with Windsor & Newton Satin Varnish.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,
Alistair

  3. You obviously enjoyed this build, Alastair, must be a little tricky to photograph though.

  4. Was totally unaware of the Thunderbirds until TCM did a Movies with Puppets night on their channel. They showed to Thunderbirds movies back to back. Really had to love it, the entire movie was was one model and diorama after another. Wife couldn't believe I was watching it but enjoyed them a lot. Great stuff and your model looks like it should have been in the movie the other night! Great job.
