Review: Arrival from Ukraineproper plane props and hubs 1/32

February 28, 2023 · in Reviews · 10 · 0.6K

About a year ago I ordered some carved wooden propellers from Proper Plane, AKA Alexey Belov, who is based in the Ukrainian city of Lviv. I expected nothing in return for my order and told Alexey so. He is however a man true to his craft and customers.

Today these fantastic props arrived, perfect for use on a Junkers D1 (among others) and a Sopwith Snipe in 1/32. Each comes with a perfectly fitted CAD rendered central hub.

They have taken a while as I am sure he is inundated with orders. Check him out on the net and on Facebook if you haven’t already. He has a fantastic range and is now doing turnbuckles in addition to his usual props, hubs, pipes and other WW1 aviation aftermarket items.

Can’t wait to use these fantastic parts and to order some more.

  1. These look absolutely wonderful, Paul!

  2. Wow, that is serious stuff! Very smart way of packaging the fragile propellers as you don´t have to unpack them to see what is in the box/wrapping/tube.

  3. What they say Paul, I should look myself but does he do them in 1/72 ?

  4. Bloody strewth! Those are the real deal! 🤩

  5. Those are beautiful propellors, Paul @yellow10
    True craftsmanship indeed.

  6. My Snipe sure needs one. Well done.

These are INCREDIBLE ! I have plans to build up some of these in 1/6 scale for my flying RC planes, but I don't think I could do it in a 1/32 like these are.

These are absolutely the best I have ever seen. Even more so when you consider the location where these came from now. Good for you with supporting them, and thanks for sharing this with us...

Now we are getting closer to building some WNW kits, but then there is that fabulous Kotare Spitfire coming up too. All of these magnificent kits, and SO little time.

I definitely clicked on the "like" button.

    Now where's my WNW Fokker D-VII ?

  8. I agree with you. The Proper Plane propellers are unbelievable. I bought one two years ago for a Wingnutwings Albatros DV.
