Revell 1/32 Westland Lynx

March 3, 2023 · in Aviation · · 14 · 0.8K

Here is my recently completed . I used the BigEd pe set and the scalewarship rotor fold set with extensive scratch building. The model was finished with XF's and weathered with pastels although in operational use the Lynx was kept in good order.

  1. There’s a lot to look at here, Kevin, all your extra work has really paid off, your subtle weathering looks just right.

  2. Fantastic job, Kevin!

  3. Excellent result, Kevin @kevinrowbotham
The folded blades and the way they are secured looks great, just like all the other detailing.

  4. Thanks very much John! The rotor fold set was quite difficult to fit...I needed two pairs of hands to keep the blades in place whilst the spacing was maintained!

  5. @kevinrowbotham - Stunning detail! Truly fantastic work!

  6. Really nice detailing, Kevin. The seats and belt arrangement are very convincing. Great paintwork overall and seamless decal application. Looks like the real deal. BTW - that anti-ship missile is formidable-looking.

  7. Thanks very much for your kind comments Colin! I agree with you re: asm although it's been pointed out to me that such a 'load out' would be improbable i.e. winch in use with an asm in situ... but I couldn't resist painting and detailing both! Cheers, Kevin

  8. This is an excellent build, it almost looks real on the outside shots. A true beauty!
