E-75 Heavy Assault Flammpanzer "Drache", What- If/1946 (1/72)

A "what if- what if " project: flamethrower tank.

I think most of you know the German E-series designs that should be the next generation of German devices.
However, the end of the war in 1945 meant that there were only ideas for the new tanks up to that point.
So there are many ways to create a fictional tank weapon.
There are already various versions of the E-50/75 tanks, but I don't know of any yet- so it was time for one!

I used ´s E-75 Assault Mortar () as base for my project.
Built up the new front asection and a flame tube of plastic sheet and old leftover parts and extended the structure further back on upper hull.
In addition, I added and changed some details.
All welds were renewed/supplemented, add the assemblies for the "Behelfskran", tank nozzles for the flame oil tanks and installed a AA- machine gun.
I also move the headlight and changed the attachment of the tools.

The assembly of the segment tracks and running gear also caused some problems because the instructions was not presented correctly and the fits for the swing arms are missing.

The tankers are a Deutsche Panzer Crew 1946 set from GeBoFiguren () and cast in resin.

  1. A fantastic what-if, Simon!

  2. Excellent build of what could have been real, Simon @s-nagorsnik
How did you achieve the perfect circles for the camouflage?

  3. Very nice work, great paint-job. My only critique: the AA-machinegun is placed maladroitly. How could they fight an aerial attack from the front with it?
