Latest progress on the A34 Comet

Well, I'm definitely approaching the "end game" with the tank itself. As you can see, it's now the things like the pioneer tools, tow cables and search light to go. I'll be putting an "RAC" helmet on the front of the light. This was a typical practice to give the light a bit more protection.

The figures are starting to come together. I painted the "pixie" suit with Tamiya Buff, then a wash with burnt Sienna artist oils. I mopped off as much of the upper was as possible, leaving it in the creases. Next I've been giving it several dry brushings of the original buff, trying to build up the layers and bring out some of the details. As I've got an original "Pixie" suit, I can say that Tamiya have done a fine job of depicting it on the figures!
