Did you hear somthing?

September 7, 2024 · in Sci-fi · 8 · 260

A little diorama depicting a spaceship crew about to have a very bad day. Unfortunately they went for the budget discount cryopods (which have predictably failed at the most narrativity convenient point) and their cargo of cyber zombies have escaped mid flight. The model is a combination of 3D resin and filament prints with a moderate amount of scratch building added for detail. The model was originally intended for role-playing/war gaming and is scaled to accept 28mm figures (about 1:60 i believe) however i couldn't resist building it into a sci-fi diorama. Painting is primarily with AK acrylics and weathering is mostly with oils with a bit of pastels as well. hope you like it.

  1. A cool diorama, Paul @paulsutt542
That crew is definitely going to have a bad day.
You made it look quite dynamically, well done.

  2. Excellent work - it reminds me of the LEXX episode with the prisoners.

  3. Amazing dio. The painting and weathering reminds me of the style of Brit SF TV and/or movies from the late 70s to early 80s.

  4. Well done, Paul (@paulsutt542). Very creative work. I really like the paint scheme you have chosen, and the interior is really well done.

  5. Excellent job, Paul!

  6. Resistance is futile : )
    Great work!

  7. Love it. Dioramas and displays representing a moment in time are so cool and it's a real pleasure to see them when they are presented. Great work here. Thanks for sharing.
