Progress on the 1/8 scale James Hunt McLaren

I don't normally post pics of building progress, but this particular kit has been a complete .

This kit is from 1972 and is by the defunct company , from horrible instructions to terrible fit and everything in between it has put me through the ringer so far, and we aren't done yet!

These kits are extremely rare and very expensive and if I wasn't being paid to do this thing I would have put it back in it's huge box long ago! I am happy with my results thus far and I think I will end up with a great build. Beware if you run across one of these kits, firstly they are very expensive, the instructions are awful, you will need to replace all the plumbing, if you break a part or are missing anything you will be making it from scratch (which I have had to do many times), the headers just don not fit no matter what you do, so you will be heating and bending, filling, sanding and cussing a lot! The suspension is a test of all your model building patience and skill.

All that being said, I am glad I have the opportunity to build such a rare kit...unfortunately the customer has another one of these things he wants me to build!

Pray for me...
