1/35 Tamiya 251/1 D mit schwerer wurfrahmen 40
Tamiya 251 “Stuka zu fuss”. Built straight from the box with some added stowage. Other than the initial paint and filter I tried using only pigments for weathering. I first made up light (exterior) and dark (interior) mixtures to simulate dirty or dusty. Each mixture was composed of two similar pigment colors. I used pigment FX for the build up on the wheels and white spirit for streaking. My take aways -
Pros: really nice subtle and smooth effects. Application is slow, so it's easy to get just the appearance you want. No worries of damaging paint.
Cons: handling the model throughout the process is difficult. Even with very light sprays of dull vote to seal during and after completion, effects are lessened. Application is messy.
Thanks for looking, comments and/or criticisms welcomed.
A very nice result, John @atjoe
Lots of beautiful details.
Thanks. I’ve been using stowage items to practice splinter camouflage.
