1:48 Airfix Canberra PR.9

February 1, 2025 · in Aviation · · 12 · 218

Airfix pr.9 is a pretty kit. Panel line a bit heavy but overall I like the shape and fit. Used Hataka acrylics which for me went down okay over a black primer. I did thin with a retarder. Build as it came out of the box, piece by piece! A lovely experience.

    Well done.

  4. Looks great! I never noticed how the cockpit was skewed to one side. . . very cool kit and excellent build

  5. Great looking piece of work!
Indeed strange that the canopy is off center.

  6. Great work of this fine kit, Chris. Looks excellent. Lovely kit, it’s sitting on one of my bookshelves.
Awesome choice of aircraft to build, the Canberra is one of my favs. Previous holder of sooooo many records, and it’s amazing that a few of the B-57 variant are still flying.

  7. Nice work! Pr.9 stuck around long enough to be used in Afghanistan. I think they retired them in ‘07 or ‘08.

  8. Wow! Exceptional finish on this and your V- bombers that snuck by me earlier this month. The photos are well done and the one from head on illustrates the offset canopy that is new to me.

  9. Nice-looking build! I really like it in that scheme. Well done.
