BlizzCon 2025 Columbus IPMS Model Show

February 23, 2025 · in Show Reports · · 9 · 358

BlizzCon 2025 was a great show, the first show of the 2025 modeling campaign for me and a much-needed day out! Fortunately, the show did not live up to its name this year and while cold, the day was sunny and clear. The show was very well attended and there were 556 models on the tables, a good turn out by any measure. The vendors' room was great yet again, the wallet suffered under the strain of four new books and eight new kits. I couldn't resist as there were so many great deals on the tables and I could have easily bought twice as many kits. Lunch was a hearty meal of fish and chips at the Old Bag of Nails Pub, everyone agreed there was not a bad thing on the menu there. Michael Smith joined me for the drive to Columbus and we caught up with most of the usual suspects at the show although a few were conspicuous by their absence and sorely missed. Judging was very efficient and over by 3:00, a tribute to the IPMS Columbus team. A great show and great opportunity to catch up with friends after a long, cold winter!

  9. Definitely a good show and great to catch up with Mr. Bebout, Tim, and CC. I think the local Pub Bag of Nails was the biggest hit...after leaving there from lunch it was a lot easier to shop the swap side 🙂
