Tamiya 1/48 Mosquito Mk.IV

February 13, 2025 · in Aviation · · 16 · 399

Tamiya's Mosquito is among the models that one cannot get enough of. I added resin flaps and detailed the main undercarriage frame.

  1. Excellent result, Rafi! Yes,byou cannot get enough Tamiya Mosquitos!

  2. Lovely job! I have to agree about that certain "panache" of the Mosquito.

  3. A fine looking Mosquito, Rafi @blackmopane
Nice view on the interior with those hatches open.

  4. Very nice Mossie. I've always been partial to the glass-nosed version since the two piece windshield seems to flow better with the lines of the airplane than the flat windscreen of the fighter/bomber version. By the way, the Virginia Air Museum has a flyable Mosquito that was built in New Zealand. A docent there told me that I could have one built for $12-$15 million dollars plus two Merlin engines that I would have to provide. Here's a picture of it:

  5. A fine looking Mossie. Tamiya nailed it, but your flaps are a nice improvement.

  6. Another nice Mossie! Great work.
