1929 Dornier DoX 1/144 scale

What a fun little kit and unique subject matter! Fit and molding was very good for the mid 70's. This kit has been passed around from several different model companies over the years, most recently by Revell I think. This is the version. The hardest part was the engines, filling all the seam lines and I was missing one of the 12 props, so I had to scratch build one. Connecting struts between the engines were too short so I had to make them from styrene in the correct length. All and all this took about 24 hours total.

I'd do this kit again, I just love flying boats, I need to find a China Clipper!
