Brazilian Navy Super Lynx AH-11A (Hobby Boss 1/72)

This HB kit is very nice and with little effort you can have a nice representation of the helicopter.

But, I decided to spruce it up a little and did a few scratch built improvements to the interior (seats, seat belts, etc). I also had to scratch built a few antennas that exist in the version and wasn't included in the kit.

Decals were from FCM but from a very old batch (they are better now being printed by Cartograph Decals) and they proved a challenge to get them settled in place and conform with the panel lines.

Very glad with the finished kit.

  2. Excellent job, Paulo @armouredsprue
All the extras you added do make it look very realistic.
    Well done.

  3. Nicely done Paulo.

  4. Lovely build on the Lynx Paulo. Adding those little extras have certainly added that bit more to the finish. Excellent.

  5. Excellent result, Paulo!

  6. And yet another lovely model - that Brazillian scheme is really nice!

  7. Superb work Paulo. That is a great paint scheme.

  8. Paulo, this is an outstanding job you did. The Lynx is one of the models I hope to do in the future, specifically with the Brazilian navy markings. I hope there is a 1/48 kit out there that is suitable.
Do you have a reference that shows the differences in antennas?

I also hope someone someday will release a new Westland Wasp in 1/48, and then I will be able to get Brazilian decals. The naval Wasps were the ones I go more familiar with, as they used to operate from the Gearing and Sumner class destroyers I grew up with.
