Midnight Cowboy: 1/48th Monogram A-1H Skyraider
This is the 1/48th Monogram A-1H Skyraider kit which was first released in 1980 in Vietnam era markings and then again in 1983 in Korean War markings. It has been re-released a number of times, as late as 2010. Although the Tamiya kit is now the ultimate in 1/48th, this build proved you can still get a nice end result from this bargain kit.
My build was done Out-of-the-Box with the exception of drilling out the gun barrels and using third-party decals. (The decals cost me more than the kit - but then I managed to acquire this kit for less than $10, so it didn't take much.)
I managed to find a nice set of decals with an option for a 1st SOS 56th SOW Skyraider for my project. You can see more in-depth detail of this build with additional photos at: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/midnight-cowboy-1-48th-monogram-a-1h-skyraider
Thanks for looking & good luck on your next build.

Good looking Skyraider - well done.

Paint job looks top notch, well done.
Thanks Robert (@robgenev665), if you can get a good paint job applied it goes a long way towards a good looking build
Well done! Fits in nicely with the background aircraft
Thanks Gary (@gwskat) I try to theme things in the background (for the most part) - Cheers
