Raiders of the lost ark
(I'm trying to catch up on my production with the articles here, so here's another one)
Although the resemblance to the actor is not great (perhaps due to image rights issues), the figure is very interesting and was very pleasant to paint.
Here is a small tribute to the character that populated the imagination of a generation.
I hope you like it,
M
Awesome, Manuel!
thank you my friend!
Very Nice, Manuel. Superb leather...as well as the rest
Thks for your kind words, much apreciated!
This is really impressive paint work, Manuel @magrus
The expression on his face and the looks of the leather are superb.
Thank you for your kind words @johnb 😁
Even though "Indiana Jones and the last crusade" will forever my favorite Indy movie and an important piece of my childhood (together with Marty Mcfly), Raiders of the lost ark was great nonetheless. Your sculpture is beautifully painted, Manuel @magrus. Lovely shading and the texture of the jacket, incredible!
Regardless which episode, Indy has populated our youth adventurous imagination.
I'm glad you liked @fxrob
The leather looks so real. Everything about this figure is awesome.
Thank you @georgeswork, tried my best 😊
More pictures please! All your stuff is great, but this is top notch. The detail work is amazing and the leather looks real, and - most important - "He looks like Indy to me."
Thank you very much for your kind words Tom @tcinla.
I'm really overwhelmed by all the comments, thank you!
Hi Manuel
Now that is superb! You're flesh tones are really something - very natural and beautifully blended. A very natural looking half bust.
Hi @christopher!
Thank you! I'm happy for how it turned out too. And very happy to have such warm reviews 😁
Excellent Manuel did you use oils or acrylics Manuel as the finish is very good 👍
Hi @thom! Thank you 👍
all acrylics, except for the 'sweat' which is lacquer gloss varnish.
Will have to try oils one day...
Um...WOW. Amazing work here!
Thank you Sir! @davidathomas
