1/48 Aerocraft Models Miles M.52

June 16, 2025 · in Aviation · · 22 · 195

This is a quite exquisite 3D printed kit from .
It goes together beautifully and builds up into a great little subject.
I can heartily recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, quick and different build.
It also comes in 1/32 and 1/72.

Primed with
AK Primer and Microfiller (Not impressed) then Mr. Hobby Basic White which reactivated the AK and caused some issues.
Then Tamiya Flat White.

Painted with
Colourcoats Night Bomber Black, FAA/RAF Yellow, Oxford Blue.
Tamiya Rubber Black,
AK Xtreme Metals Steel and Polished Aluminium.
Finished with Windsor & Newton Galeria Satin Varnish.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,
Alistair

  1. Very cool. A new aircraft to me

    • Thanks very much.
It only ever got as far as the drawing board but the wind tunnel data was passed to Bell who used it to get the x-1 through the sound barrier.

      Cheers,
      Alistair

  2. That’s a new one on me too. I can see the X-1 genes it as you mention. I also remember the French building something similar. Well done, Alistair!

  3. A new aircraft to me as well, Alistair @alistairfgauld
    A very nice build.

  4. Same for me... but it sure looks cool! Almost 1950's sci-fi-ish.

  7. Very cool build of a very cool plane. Shame it was never built.

  8. Yep - never seen that one! Lovely build.

  9. What might have been.
