Me-262: Part #1/5 - building a lost bird.
This article is part of a series:
Hello,
I built this Me-262 some time ago, but I never posted it here. I loved the shape of this aircraft and wanted to go further, so I wanted to not only detail it but also tell a story (in a small diorama) that I found: that of several examples found hidden in the forest along the highway to Frankfurt by the Americans.
Given the length (and I think possible interest) of the entire build, I decided to create several posts.
This is the first one, about the aircraft. The photos are self-explanatory, I hope you like them π
Manuel @magrus, the details in your Schwalbe are absolutely stunning! Apart from the fantastic paintjob and weathering (look at those wheelbays), thanks for the pictures of the process. I always enjoy looking at those and seeing how others build their kits.
thank you @fxrob! Tried my best. One word for the nice Hataka lacquer paints

Outstanding job on the detailing.
thank you! much appreciated
Masterpiece. Agree with J Licht...detail paint work is special.
thank you π
Absolutely beautiful. Manual. I looked at some of my photos I had taken of the Duetsche Musee back in the mid 1970's and your wheel well detail is spot on! A superb build of perhaps the most ascetically pleasing aircraft of WWII,
Thank you @davee :-), yes, I used reference photos to detail the wheel well
Beautiful detail invested in this project, and great paintwork.
Thks Greg, much appreciated π
Very nice work!
βΊοΈβΊοΈβΊοΈ Thank you Sir
Manuel, your Me-262 is very impressive. The detailed bays are going to make for a very interesting diorama. And the black background on the photos of the finished model make for an extremely dramatic result.
Thank you @russjurco
The diorama is done. Stay tuned for the next episodes π
Some amazing result, Manuel @magrus
Details, painting, weathering, the painted markings, everything on this build is really superb.
I do agree that the Me262 is a beautiful shaped aircraft, shark like.
Looking forward to the diorama.
Much appreciated @johnb
Stay tuned π
Really outstanding work on all areas of the project. A superb result.
Thank you Sir!
Superb result, my friend Manuel!
Thank you @fiveten! π
Excellent work - the details, paint, the works. It will look good in it's new shelter.
Thanks @chasbunch! I'm happy how it turned out.
