Me bf 109 - Tamiya 1/48
This is a Tamiya 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109 E3 kit No. 61050 flown by Heinz Bär during the Battle of Britain. He was the 5th leading German ace during WW2 with 220 confirmed kills. He flew in the Western, Eastern and Mediterranean theaters. In addition to the BF109, he flew the FW 190 and ME 262.
I built this kit mostly out of the box with a few enhancements. The decals were made from Testors white decal paper and Microsoft products. I recently saw a YouTube video of the most produced model kits. The ME bf 109 was number 1.
Very nice
Nice work. Can’t go wrong with that kit. I always thought the Zero was the most produced kit but not surprised it’s really the 109.
Excellent Bf-109, Mike!
Very nice work on Heinz Bär's Emil, Mike @micrometer
Why is the photo yellow?
My DSLR saturated the color from my bench too much. I also shot this under fluorescent lights. I'm switching to white paper under the models going forward.
Nice work!
