Gecko SLUF: 1/48th Hasegawa A-7E Corsair II
This1/48th Hasegawa A-7E Corsair II dates back to 1987, however it remains top notch due to the level of detail included in the kit, with options to build some of the avionics bays open as well as the wings folded. As usual, the panel lines are very fine and the surface detail quite nice.
After I bought this kit, I went searching for some different markings for it and eventually came across a uniquely adorned A-7E of VA-22 that fit the bill, for my second build of this type perfectly, a Camouflaged Navy A-7! If you are interested, there is more in-depth detail of this build with additional photos at my website: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/gecko-sluf-1-48th-hasegawa-a-7e-corsair-ii
Thanks for looking & good luck on your next build.

Another one of my favorite aircraft Very nicely done and a striking camo.
Must be a favourite of mine as well as I have built 4 so far and have a 5th in the stash (A-7D probably slated for 70's era Davis-Monthan markings). Thanks Vic (@vicbalshaw), I was quite happy to come across this unique camouflage version to add to The Hangar.

Excellent result and beautiful camo!
Thanks Spiros (@fiveten), Glad to have this camo version as I will do a TAC camo A-7D version later (whenever I get around to that one)
Another beautiful one added to the hangar, @flypastrush
A unique scheme which suites the A7 perfectly.
You bet John (@johnb) locating the decals for this one was a great find. Glad I was able to add it! Thanks again!
Glad to see another example of my time in service, and one of the very birds I worked on! I was no fan of 'Grits' Roberson as XO/CO but it was fun to see what the Corrosion Control guys could do when they were asked to exercise their artistic spirits. Bravo @flypastrush!
Very interesting that you actually worked on this bird George! (@george_akin) Somehow it doesn't surprise me that Roberson didn't win everyone over as XO/CO as I noted it was always his jet that got the special scheme after completion of a successful cruise and something about the way it was referenced led me to take away, he was maybe a bit more "Me" than "Team" - could have read into it wrong of course. Any photos of the jet from that era in your collection? The one I have at my website is of a slightly different variety. https://www.flypastrush.com/post/gecko-sluf-1-48th-hasegawa-a-7e-corsair-ii - Cheers!
Very cool! Had not seen that scheme before. Well done.
Thanks Greg (@gkittinger) , Took me a while to find that scheme as it was only on the aircraft temporarily so photos are more rare.
