I started modeling at the age of six, buying a 1:72 scale Airfix Mirage IIIC when they were sold in packs. In my mid-twenties, when I was perfecting my first airbrush, work and family commitments put a stop to my hobby, which I only resumed a few years ago. I'm fifty-eight years old and a warrant officer in the Italian military police (Carabinieri), now close to retirement. I live with my wife in a small town in northeastern Italy near the Slovenian border. I enjoy modeling in general, especially 1:48 scale aircraft.
Building naval models isn't my thing, but when I was given this submarine kit as a gift, I tried my best. The final result wasn't bad, but I felt the model was a bit cold. So I decided to set it during one of her hunts in the Atlantic [...]
I purchased this kit on eBay for about ten euros and it was partially pre-built. Marketed by the Chinese company Mini Hobby Models, it was probably an old Monogram production. After disassembling it, I rebuilt and improved it using 3D [...]

The Aermacchi MB339-A project was started in 1972 to satisfy the Italian Air Force's request of an advanced trainer which could substitute towards the end of the 70' the MB326 in the basic training role.
The MB339-A is a two seater [...]
The Fiat CR.32 "Chirri" was, in my opinion, the most elegant biplane ever produced; maneuverable and fast, it was nevertheless lightly armed, which often put it in difficulty even against worse but more durable aircraft. I found [...]
After the armistice of September 8, 1943, and the subsequent escape of the King of Italy to Brindisi, the Italian co-belligerent Air Force was formed and equipped with many aircrafts donated by the Allies. The aircraft in the photos is an [...]
With twenty victories, Fulco Ruffo di Calabria was one of the best fighter pilots of the newly formed Italian Air Force. The aircraft is painted in the classic "Bleriot" livery.
