iModeler Aviation

Building, painting and finishing scale aircraft models.

1/48 AMK MiG-31

Finally finished it

THE FRYING PAN CHALLENGE! Part 3. Fuselage and wings.

A german high quality virus halted the build for almost a week and ruined three days of skiing vacation, but today I got going again. The clear parts didn't really fit as one would wish, so some putty and sanding was required. With [...]

The year in review, 2017

It was a busy year for me, especially with family and work. Even so, I managed to get three models done, all in 1/48. The Pogo was a what if that started out to be a scale project and turned into more fun than anyone should expect to [...]

A year in review - 2017

Hi everyone! As I build mostly in 1:72 and sometimes OOB, I've had quite a good output in the previous years, not falling below 1 model per month. Well, 2017 proved to be slightly different. I've started my approach procedural air traffic [...]

2017 in review

Shamefully slack on building kits this year myself (rock bands 'll do that to ya). But I did managed to complete two in 1/72 scale, paint three big RC Astro Hogs, and fix up a few more older builds for re-shoots. Seasons Greetings to all !

Year in review 2017

I consider myself a slow modelbuilder so two finished kits per year are good enough for me and it usually takes me about 6 months to actually finish a model. First off the bench was prehistoric 1/48 Revell A-7, with deck diorama base made [...]

P-39 Airacobra

Hi, finished this just in time for Christmas, this is the ubiquitous Academy 1/72 P-39Q/N Airacobra, could have been better, could have been worse. I had some fight with the canopy, because i used replacement vac one from CMK set, and this [...]

Year in review 2017

So here is my review of 2017. But first I like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and all the best wishes for 2018. Quite some variation over 2017 which included 2 restored models also. The new toolings from Airfix are fantastic and [...]

1/48 Nakajima Ki-27 by Hasegawa

This is an early Hasegawa boxing of the Mania Models Ki-27 from about 1977...I think. I put some Eduard details in the cockpit including a seat, belts, and instrument panel but since its so small I really didn't do much more there. The [...]
