Happy 2023 All,
I've been itching to do another wood boat kit but I did not want to get into a long term project so I went with this Model Shipway's 18th Century Long Boat.
This was a nice change of pace and fun to build and I'm pleased [...]
2021 was such a good year. I finished 13 models – eight 1/72 aircraft, a 1/72 88mm gun, and four 1/700 Essex-class carriers, one a major kitbash.

HOURS of "Youtube" videos watched, and i finally settled on just 2. (both of whom i class as master-builders)
First job was to thicken the gun ports on the lower two [...]
My Revell 1/72 S-100 German High Speed attack boat from WW2 which I completed during the lockdown period.
It was a fairly easy model to build, with only 1 or 2 minor issues (easily overcome). Length of this kit is 48,6cm
Paints used are [...]
Here is my build of Dragon's USS Gearing, lead ship of the US Navy's ultimate WWII destroyer class. This is the excellent kit from Dragon, which comes with extensive photoetch (but, surprisingly, no railing!). Built it out of the box apart [...]
