@lis, yeah it feels a bit cheap. Have you started yours yet?🙂

Your pre-shading came out really well and creates a realistic texture, Felix (@fxrob). I have a whole box full of blue tack, but have never used it. I guess I should give it a try.

She looks really nice, Felix @fxrob
Even with the wheels out the Liberator is a beautiful aircraft.

In summer I painted two sets of pilots RAF and USAAF for B-24 cockpit without checking B-24 box. Usually I used Airfix figures for less visible positions in plane. I will start B-24 mabye after Fairey Battle?

@lis I want to start a battle of France group after this, your Battle would have fit in perfectly 🙂

Looks excellent so far, my friend @fxrob! Pity no figures are provided.

Dear George @gblair, i can recommend it! The lines get somewhat soft but i prefer it to paper jigs. There's special elastic putty by AK Interactive and Ammo Mig and others, but i doubt it's really necessary or a huge upgrade over traditional blue tack.

A couple of very frustrating issues here. One being the large USAAF decal on the side of the fuselage. It’s one large decal- even though the surface isn’t flat because of that shield in front of the gunner‘s window. So it won’t settle properly-the fact that Cartograf/Airfix did not consider this is simply infuriating.

The other thing is the yellow from the tail fins- it’s supposed to be Humbrol 24 which i used on top. The decal has a warmer yellow, though. Repaint all of it? Or do something with a white oil color as postshading?

This decal looks nevertheless good, my friend @fxrob. Regarding the yellow, either leave it as is or repaint it with a shade that will match the decal. Not having experience in the white oil color, I cannot comment in it.
