I used to live by Polar Aviation a museum which housed the last flying example of the Shackleton. It was a lot of fun to visit. Unfortunately, the aircraft ran short on funding and now sits in the collection of the Pima Air Museum. The tower thought it was a B-24. With Collins Foundation flying the last true Liberator. Both, have the twin tail configuration the difference ends at the tail.
