Thanks @John vd Biggelaar and @Lis. I had to modify the standard Hasegawa kit, the "F" model Fort went through several block mods. Blocks are in increments of 5, "My Devotion" was block 50 that incorporated many improvements that were later standard on the "G" model. The first use of the chin turret was on the YB-40, a formation escort gunship that carried extra ammo in the bomb bay and had a second dorsal turret where the radio compartment upper hatch is, and twin waist guns. The YB-40 was a flop because it was too heavy to keep up with the bombers after they dropped their bombs. But the chin turret was a hit and they were rushed to England and retrofitted onto formation leader's planes. Boeing made it standard and changed the plexiglass nose to a bubbled out version that was ugly but it gave the bombardier better visibility to employ the chin turret and the US Army Air Force considered it worthy of a model change to "G"...

Hello Dave, You did an amazing job on this B-17.

Regarding the Belle you are right the were on the front on the early stage of the war, but nevertheless they accomplish their tour and at least for 2 of their crew member they re-enrolled for a second one over the Japanese front (Robert Morgan on the Dauntless Dotty and Vince Evans).
Beside of that the 'Belle was not the first to accomplish their 25 assigned missions. If I remember wel the first one was another B-17 the 'Hell's Angels'. Unfortunately the plane did not directly returned to US and was not filmed by W. Wyler. That's probably why the Belle is so famous.

But anyway your 'My Devotion' is a fantastic build. I would like to thank you for sharing it.

    Hello Gents,

First of all many thanks for you nice comment @lis, @fiveten, @johnb

    Here are my latest progress:
    Ball Turret assembly:

    Nose assembly:

    And radio Navigator position:

For John @johnb, watch out, the ammo box for the waist gunners are not fitting the kit (at least I could not... might be my mistake), I checked out on my previous build the 'Nine O Nine' and it's not the same part, that's why I chose to cut the ammo band nd to keep them disengaged from the gun.
Oh yes the top turret is done as wel but I forgot to take picture of it.
Please don't hesitate to leave your remarks and thanks for passing by.
