The Airfix kit looks pretty good, Bernard (@lis). I have one coming in the mail. When it arrives it will be in the build queue fairly quickly.

@gblair I purchased this kit in my hobby shop. In Poland all kit news are delayed.

Hi Bernard (@lis): I understand. New Airfix takes a while to get to the shops here in Texas. I ordered my Liberator from a site in the UK, and it will still probably takes several weeks to eventually get here.

@gblair Purchasing from producer site could make parcel faster than normal hobby shop. But I waiting for mask sets too for this kit. It could take several time to make it by various manufacturer.

Xtradecals has new announcement of set of decals. Atres some research I see discrepancies when it comes to the interpretation of the colors of the identification symbols of bomb groups. Decal manufacturers such as DP Casper or Airfix suggest the OD color as a base for yellow geometric figures symbolizing individual groups. What do you think, were there two versions of the painting, or maybe the background was only black? Or maybe it is an overinterpretation of the producers, consisting in a superficial analysis of black and white photos. Personally, I like the version with a black background as it is more contrasting and attractive.

Being not an expert, I can only assume that both interpretations are possible, my friend @lis. This is until (or if) someone comes with solid evidence. Since you prefer the black background version, I believe you can go with it.

Not being an expert either on this topic, but both assumptions could be true, Bernard @lis
Maybe some of the experts on iModeler know the real answer, otherwise I would go for the back as well.
