I finished the engines, and glued them into the nacelles. The front fairing of the nacelles varied in fit, and I am working on the seam, but using some polymide tape as a masking medium for masking for the putty. It works pretty good. I am pretty happy with the engines, they will look the part once on the wing.

The engines do look great, Walt @luftwaffe-birdman
Masking the putty process is a good idea, I always seem to forget this, resulting in a lot of cleaning up to do aftwards.

Most of the assembly is done, but the wings needed some final engraving done on them. I started with the port wing, and scribed all the panel lines for the leading edges. I thought I had the seams all figured out but as you can see I have some work to do on the leading edge. I also had to scribe the nacelles and I am happier with these nacelles then the ones I did on "The Squaw". I hope to do the starboard wing this weekend and basically have the kit fully assembled and ready for paint soon thereafter.

I hit the wing with some Tamiya white primer to get an idea of how it is going to look, and I am really pretty happy abot the scaling of the rivets. Truly in 1/48th scale, rivets would be hardly, if at all, noticeable at any distance. These rivets look to be showing up in a pretty good scale where they will be noticeable but not crazily out of scale.

I am due my quote for printing of the decals from Microscale tomorrow. I had to do some rework correcting scaling and some of the artwork. I regardless of what they quote, I have to thank Microscale ahead of time with their willingness to work with an amateur. Cartograph replied quickly but gave me a whole list of things I would have to change in order for them to print. Microscale on the other hand, also required changes, but also helped out along the way. They have been very helpful to me to understand what I need to do for printing real decals. Special thanks to Vickie Hays, the person I have been working with, she has been very helpful to me in getting to this point.

I have been busy lately. I finished the restoration of Sandy's 5.9L Dakota R/T. This was a two year plus every bolt and nut frame off / rotisserie restoration.

Once it was completed, I got busy with a very big home repair project, so I have not had any bench time. I didn't get it done in time to take it to the car show "Mopars with Big Daddy" Don Garlits museum near Ocala, FL. Maybe next year we can take it there.

Boy ! You sure have hit the mark with the rivets and panel lines... They look magnificent.

This is very good news to hear about your experiences with Microscale. It's wonderful when a plan comes together.

Love it and I'm looking forward to your next installment.

Good to hear from you Louis @lgardner. Beautiful job on the Dodge, I know how much work it is to do all that you did. I have been busy working on my Pontiac, I finally got the dash painted, and have started installing glass and building the dash back up. I also went through the adoption process of a rescue puppy. Sunny is a ball of energy and has made it easy for me to get plenty of steps in every day. She loves to play ball, and to my wife's dismay we play in the house.

I did manage to glue the nacelles on and the wings to the fuselage I am generally speaking very happy with how the wings attached. The seam is almost flawless on the top side.

Well the Holiday Season has begun, but I still slowly make progress on my B-24. The only thing holding me up for completing assembly is the tail turret. I spent Thanksgiving weekend putting up Christmas lighting on my house and more importantly finishing the painting of parts for the interior of the Pontiac. I also took some time and finished the tail turret assembly and have started the painting of it. I will do the wash in the morning and see if I can get it glued in.

The 1:1 airbrush looks very good, as does the work on the 1:48 B24.
