I noticed this today on scalemates. I don't have anymore information. I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about this new kit from Tamiya?

Just a quick update, it's since came to my notice that this information was an error in February's SAMI. It was in reference to Tamiya's new 1/48th scale Spitfire Mk.1 that the mistake occurred. This is what started the speculation of a new 1/72nd Spitfire Mk.1.

It's been almost 20 years since Tamiya released their original Mk.1. So, it's possible that a new Mk.1 could be following hot on the heals of their new Bf 109 G-6. But at the time of me posting this, as far as I know, there are no plans to produce such a kit.
