This is the Accurate Miniatures reboxing of the Eduard kit and will be finished as Black 13 flown by Josef "Pips" Priller on D-Day. Engine and cockpit mostly finished and fuselage ready to be closed up.

Looking good Bernard,N.
A clasic choice of subject! Following this with interest, especially your experience with "fidliness" of this kit.
Bernard, looks great so far-engine looks really nice. I've not built an Eduard FW190 kit yet so I to will also be interested in hearing about your build experience.
Be sure to ge aware that Priller's airplane had the "lightweight" drop tank rack, not the big long traditional version. Here's a photo that should help.

So far so good, but all that lovely engine detail disappears once the cowl is in place 🙁
Thanks for the 'heads up' Tom.
Is there a way to slip the cowling on followed by the prop so they can be removed if so desired? It would be a shame to cover that up permanently! (Kind of like Monogram's B-29 interior!)
Can't you open the engine cowl up ?, looking good so far . N.
Basic construction is finished, should be getting some paint applied tomorrow.
Looking good-too bad you won't be able to see that little jewel hidden under the cowling. Looking forward to some "in the paint shop" photos. I'm always interested in fellow modelers approaches to applying paint.
It is a shame about not seeing much of the engine, it looked real nice. Look forward to seeing it posted on D.Day. Simon.
