    Great save by using the decal film, Spiros (@fiveten). I have never tried using Microscale Liquid before, but I have sprayed clear gloss from a spray can over old decals to repair them. It also works well, but makes them into a decal sheet with continuous clear, so you have to cut each decal out individually.

    Thanks my friend @gblair! Same with Microscale fluid, makes a continuous film, but, since it is applied by brush, you may only coat the decal itself and just a bit of bordering.
