iModeler is growing even faster than we've anticipated. Yesterday in particular was a great day, with an addition of a whopping 34 new articles, some massive image uploads, happy browsing by over 500 visitors. While we're more than happy to see all this happening, we're on alert looking for any performance/scalability issues. Even more so because our server installation hasn't yet been optimized for performance.

This is changing today, as we have just switched on our shiny new front-end proxy cache for static content. Tada!

Translated to your experience as a user, this means that the site should be considerably snappier. From what we could see in our measurements (from Dulles, VA), the average page response time for the site has dropped from 2.6 sec to 1.5 sec. This should give a clearly noticeable increase in performance also in your browser.
