    Hi everyone!
Here's another entry to this very fine GB:

Recently got my hands on this kit, bought sealed at a bargain price, so I decided to tackle it.
Here are the kit contents, this is the old Academy mold... ...a very nice decal sheet... ...I decided to finish it in a less seen post war Aeronautical Militare Italiana scheme.
Here's the progress so far, not an easy kit due to fit issues associated to all but the Tamiya P-38 kits... More to come!

Great entry of this challenging kit, Spiros @fiveten
Never knew before that the Italian used the Lightning as well.
    Looking forward to it.

    Spiros (@fiveten),

I always think of making a P-38 model like eating a sticky bun. Your fingers get caught on something. After the War surplus P-38s were used for photographic mapping in the states and in Canada. A Canadian company used them for a while and then switched over to using Mosquitos which were more stable platform for taking photos. I wonder if your Italian P-38 was a war time a/c or used after the war? Looks like a interesting subject a build.

Thanks so much, also for the information, my friend @stephen-w-towle! This will be an Aeronautica Militare Italiana 1947 machine!

Looks ready for paint, Spiros (@fiveten). Anything with booms will make the build more complex and more likely to have fit issues. I will look great after a layer of paint.

Another challenge for you Spiros. You always get the most from those old kits @fiveten.
